O Festival de Cinema de Toronto revelou nesta quinta-feira (28) o line-up de sua edição 2022, a 47ª de sua história. O evento terá várias obras antecipadas na lista da competição, assim como aguardadas estreias do ano nas exibições fora da competição.

Entre as principais estreias, três prometem marcar a temporada de premiações: “The Fabelmans“, filme autobiográfico de Steven Spielberg; “Empire of Light“, ode ao cinema de Sam Mendes que tem Olivia Colman e Colin Firth como protagonistas; e “Glass Onion: Um Mistério Entre Facas e Segredos“, sequência do whodunnit dirigido por Rian Johnson em 2018, conta com grande elenco.

Nomes de peso no ramo da atuação também estrelam alguns dos longas que estarão presentes. Jennifer Lawrence estrela “Causeway“, da produtora A24. Anya Taylor-Joy estrela “The Menu” junto a Nicholas Hoult e Ralph Fiennes. Viola Davis também irá marcar presença com “A Mulher Rei“, épico histórico ambientado no Reino do Daomé, na África.
