Depois de dois anos longe das telinhas, um dos seriado mais aclamados pela crítica voltará em janeiro de 2016, para a alegria de seus fãs, a famosa dupla, Sherlock Holmes e Watson (interpretados respectivamente por Benedict Cumberbacth e Martin Freeman) protagonizarão um especial de natal intitulado “The Abominable Bride“. A BBC liberou essa semana os pôsteres da obra. Veja:

A trama de “A Noiva Abominável” (tradução literal), terá 90 minutos e será ambientada na Inglaterra vitoriana. O episódio será lançado nos Estados Unidos e no Reino Unido no dia 1º de janeiro de 2016, e em diversos cinemas, assim como o que ocorreu com Doctor Who.

O episódio especial acompanhará Sherlock (Cumberbatch) e Watson (Freeman) em meio a uma guerra motivada pelo medo dos homens, envolvendo-se numa trama de mistério que se torna ainda mais obscura numa Londres do século XIX mergulhada em sombras.

Já a aguardada quarta temporada da série, deveria retornar no começo de 2016, após um hiato de dois anos como de costume, porém tanto Cumberbatch quanto Freeman estão com as agendas lotadas, com projetos como Doutor Estranho a Capitão América: Guerra Civil, portanto as filmagens da nova temporada serão feitas no segundo semestre de 2016, com estreia prevista para início de 2017.
