A 22ª edição do Critic’s Choice Awards, considerada um dos grandes termômetros para o Oscar e o Globo de Ouro, ocorreu na noite de domingo (11) em Santa Monica, Califórnia. A premiação da Associação de Críticos de TV e Cinema dos EUA consagrou “La La Land – Cantando Estações” como melhor filme, e “Game of Thrones” como Melhor Drama televisivo.

Nas categorias de cinema, “La La Land – Cantando Estações” levou oito prêmios dos doze aos quais concorria e foi o grande vencedor da noite. Na disputa entre as produções televisivas, “The People v. O.J. Simpson: American Crime Story” concorria em seis categorias e venceu quatro delas, incluindo melhor atriz (Sarah Paulson) e melhor ator (Courtney B. Vance) em Telefilme/Minissérie. A nova produção da HBO, “Westworld”, estreou muito bem nas premiações importantes vencendo dois prêmios: o de melhor atriz em série dramática para Evan Rachel Wood, e melhor atriz coadjuvante em série dramática para Thandie Newton.
